Pigs in a Cheesy Blanket with Summer Salad!

Piggies in a Cheesy Blanket with Romain Salad

I make certain meals just to put smiles on my kiddo’s faces. Pigs in a blanket is definitely one of those meals. Although my husband confessed last night, he also loves these little piggies.  I’ll definitely say they’re better than regular old hot dogs, that’s for sure.  Oh, and excellent to pack for lunches too!

Don’t be afraid to add some flair though. For us, we like shredded cheese. You could add ham, bacon, onion. Shoot, have fun and enjoy!

Pigs in a Cheesy Blanket:

1 Package Turkey Hot Dogs (I subbed half with polish sausage because I had some frozen) – $1.87
1/2 cup cheese (I did half plain) – $.50
2 cans, ready to bake buttermilk biscuits (10 count)- $1.00

COST: $3.37

Preheat oven to 400 degree. Lightly dust work surface with flour. Open cans of biscuits and separate. Use 2 biscuits per hot dog. See pics below for easy to follow directions. The kids LOVE to do this part, so let them have fun helping while you prepare the salad.
